apps in Lovable's public showcase let anyone read or change their database without logging in, because access rules had never been switched on (March 2025).
Emails, phone numbers, subscription and transaction data, and API keys were exposed. The flaw was registered as CVE-2025-48757, rated 9.3 out of 10 in severity. Lovable disputes the classification: it says each customer is responsible for securing their own app. Which is exactly the point.
That's not a reason to avoid these tools — I build with AI every day. It's a reason to have an engineer look before real users and real money arrive.

Do I keep my code?
